The Purist seems like Five Daughters‘ take on the classic glaze. Plus, this one adds in what Five Daughters Bakery is famous for — the one-hundred layer donut. Here, the donut is like a big croissant with the light, airy, and buttery pastry… but formed into donut-form.

The glaze is pretty traditional, but that’s what works so well. This is supposed to be a classic. As such, it should work for many taste buds. It certainly did/ does for mine.

Without all the frills of some of the other hundred-layer donuts, this should still be a crowd/ everyone favorite.
